This is the Chinese Food that I grew up with.The original owners were an extremely friendly Chinese couple that often had their children assist in running the restaurant. Once the kids grew up and went off to college, they left to be closer to them, but handed the restaurant down to their waitstaff. The food has remained the same and just about every dish is delicious!Combination plates are an excellent choice, allowing you to sample one of their entrees, spring rolls, and a soup. I'm a big fan of Won ton soup, but have yet to have something that I haven't liked. All the typical Chinese dishes here are excellent. I've had Pineapple Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken/Pork, Mu Gu Gai Pan, etc. All have been very good. It is easy to get a full meal here as they provide all the fixings you could possible want to go with your Chinese dish and cap it all off with almond and fortune cookies.Fortune Garden also offers a variety of wines, including the a super-sweet but still delicious Plum wine, which is hard to find anywhere else.This place tends to be quiet and I've never had to wait to get a seat. Service is fast, so they can get you in-and-out if you have somewhere you need to go, but the atmosphere is also relaxed and serene.If you're looking for good Chinese in the Youngstown area this is an excellent choice.
